Nach der Berufslehre zum Architekturmodellbauer hatte ich das Glück bei Thilo Gruber und Luc Forster neun Jahre lang mein Handwerk zu vertiefen. Sie betreiben ein tolles Atelier in Zürich für Möbelbau, Prototypen und Architekturmodellbau. Im Frühjahr 2017 wurde ich angefragt beim Umbau des Comicladens Zappa Doing in Winterthur zuhelfen und richtete eine eigene Werkstatt ein, die WAERCHBANK… Seit dem Sommer 2023 arbeite ich als Werkstattverantwortlicher an der Zürcher Hochschule der Künste. Den Studierenden gebe ich Einführungskurse in den Werkstätten der Hochschule... After my apprenticeship as model builder I worked nine years in Zürich at Gruber Forster GmbH. They have a nice atelier where they build models for architecture, design and prototypes, craft furniture and interiors. In early 2017 I was asked to join the renovation of the Zappa Doing comics and bookstore in Winterthur. This is when the story of WAERCHBANK had begun… Since summer 2023 I am in charge of the modelbuilding and prototyping workshop at the Zurich University of Arts.
